The center provides Plastic Surgery, as well as Eye and Dental care to indigent people within the State of Chihuahua, Guerrero, Mexico.
Two two-week clinics take place each year; once in the spring and once in the fall. Care reaches people in need throughout approximately 80% of the state of Chihuahua.
The clinics are staffed by volunteers from both Mexico and the United States. Volunteers with and without medical skills make these clinics successful. In addition to the services provided by the volunteers, the State of Chihuahua provides on-site medical and humanitarian aid during the clinics.
We perform plastic surgery on children who are born with a cleft lip and palate and other facial deformities. We also treat burns which occur due to food that is cooked on open fires. 2000 patients are usually seen during each clinic.
